Biography: Alexander Robinson was born in San Antonio, Texas but was raised in Los Angeles after moving with his family nine months later. Alexander has always had a love for movies with his parents acting as the gatekeeper, especially when it came to Disney animation, Star Wars, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, and other classic Hollywood films. One of the most important film series to Alexander is Toho’s Godzilla franchise because it was the first series that he fell in love without being introduced to it through his parents.
Alexander attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where he majored in Critical Film Studies. It was at UCSC where he officially started reviewing movies on YouTube when he was taking summer courses in 2012. In 2013, he started to pursue film criticism and entertainment hosting as more than a passion when he created the YouTube channel, “The Real Mr. Robinson”. Alexander was a writer for Geeked Out Nation and a co-host for their movie-themed podcast before leaving the site in 2016.
When he’s not reviewing or talking about movies, Alexander loves to spend time at Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood where he is surrounded by movie-related attractions.
